Each event should be a small adventure and a breath of fresh air for those stagnant fitness routines. We hope to build a group of long time followers, who can pass along, tribal knowledge of phoenix trails, their secrets, inhabitants, moods, and beauty.
OTR On The Rivet Coaching and Training Center is a great place to meet for road or MTB rides or road or trail runs. OTR is conveniently located at the base of Usery Pass at the corner of Brown and Ellsworth in the Bashas shopping center (The Shoppes at Highland Village). OTR is a cycling focused Fitness Studio that provides coaching, core and muscle conditioning, yoga and Massage Therapy. The Greater Phoenix Orienteering Club is a group dedicated to the sport of orienteering. Orienteering is an event in which competitors use map and compass skills to navigate over terrain as quickly as possible in order to find a series of pre-placed "control" markers. Think of it as a poor man's adventure race or an adult Easter egg hunt. Our meets are open to everyone of all ages and skill levels. Come on out and have some fun running around the desert with us.
This group is for anyone interested in running in events like the Tough Mudder, Spartan Race, Warrior Dash, etc. as a team. Now you will have one! All levels are welcome - you will have plenty of options from 5k to 12+miles.
This group is about bringing ultra-athletes together to train, learn and race with. Whether it be short or long training runs from 5k - 50 mile training runs. This includes hill training, trail runs, street running, speed work, cross-training like cycling, mountain biking, swimming, weight training, cross-fit, etc. This will also allow people to come together for upcoming races whether they are in Arizona or around the world. Scottsdale Hikes For Fun Club is for intermediate hikers that want to hike at least once per week. All skill levels are welcome. Hikes will based around 1 1/2 hours starting at The Lost Dog Wash Access Area. We will not be racing to the finish here, just enjoying each step along the way without lollygagging. We will mix up which trail we take every week. Only one rule for our group - You Must Have Fun While We Hike. Our plan is to begin with scheduled weekly hikes and as we grow the membership, …
